Klamin

From Klamath to Klamin® extract

General neuromodulatory properties and, in particular, to support mood and attention.
Thanks to its moderate content of phenylethylamine (PEA), Klamath RWRmax is such that it can have positive physiological effects on small problems of mood, memory and attention.
However, the concentration of PEA required to have significant neurological effects is higher than that present in the microalga, and also requires the support of molecules that act as natural MAO-B inhibitors.

The Nutrition Therapy Research Center, in collaboration with university researchers, has discovered these molecules in Klamath, and has developed and patented a specific extract, Klamin®, which concentrates a greater and sufficient quantity of both PEA and MAO- B inhibitors naturally present in Klamath.

Phenylethylamine is an endogenous amine which, not surprisingly, has been called the “love molecule”, since our body produces it abundantly when we are in love with a person or with life itself! But phenylethylamine (PEA) alone would produce very little effects, because once ingested it is quickly destroyed by specific enzymes in our body. In Klamath, however, there are several molecules, from the AFA-phycocyanins themselves, to the algae mycosporins (MAAs) and to a molecule typical of the Klamath (and similar to the plant phytochromes), which by analogy we call AFA-phytochrome. to be powerful inhibitors of those enzymes that destroy PEA, and therefore protect it by allowing it to perform its effects on the neurocerebral system.

What matters most is that these molecules, despite being the most powerful MAO-B inhibitors among all natural molecules, like these have a physiological action without side effects, because unlike specific drugs, they do not destroy MAO-B enzymes (and it is this destruction that generates side effects), but simply temporarily inhibit their action.

PEA is a general neuromodulator, because it is able to activate or even alternatively inhibit various neurotransmitters, dopamine but also under certain conditions serotonin. This allows it to perform an action of revitalization and balance of the nervous system, counteracting depression but, if necessary, also anxiety; promoting energy through its activation of adrenaline, but also sleep and rest through the activation of serotonin and the hypothalamic-pituitary axis.

This synergy of PEA and MAO-B natural inhibitors also has another fundamental function, that of protecting against aging, because in the human body the decrease in dopamine (- 13% every decade after 40 years) and the parallel increase MAO-B enzymes (+ 250% after 50 years) are one of the main engines of aging!
That this synergy of PEA and natural inhibitors is both effective and free of risks and side effects has now been proven by three different human clinical studies, in which the Klamin® extract has produced radical improvements in conditions such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and fatigue.

In one of these studies, some additional systemic effects have been seen on menopausal women, linked to the decrease in dopaminergic transmission, with improvements also in states such as insomnia, reduced libido and memory loss.
